Portal Access and Security
This article explains how user access works in the Relaymed portal, including account setup, password requirements, and what to do if you're locked out.
Inviting Users
Users can be invited from the Users page in the portal. There are two user types:
SSO Users - Upon being invited, SSO users receive an email with a link to access the portal directly.
Email & Password Users - Upon being invited, users receive an email with a link to set up their password before they can log in.
Note: Invite links expire after 24 hours. If your link has expired, contact your organization's Relaymed admin to resend the invitation.
Password Requirements
When setting up or resetting a password, it must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of 14 characters
- Must not contain your name or email address
- Must not contain company or product names
Resetting Your Password
Local users can reset their password from the portal login page. To be eligible to reset your password, you must:
- Have already accepted your invitation
- Have an active (non-deactivated) account
Note: Password reset links expire after 24 hours. If your link has expired, you can request a new one - though you'll need to wait at least one minute since your last request before doing so.
Account Lockouts
If a user fails to log in after 10 consecutive unsuccessful attempts, the account will be automatically deactivated for security purposes.
Locked out of your account?
Contact your organization's Relaymed admin - they can unlock your account directly from the portal. This is the fastest way to get back in.
